Forget for a second that you have arrived here.
You are THAT.
And by THAT, I mean this un-nameable, undivided beingness.
What if the only thing standing between you and the recognition of this truth is a thought? A doubt? A subtle movement of mind that, repeated for years, hardens into an identity – a psycho-somatic structure that feels separate from life, from others, from its source.
We are born into cultures that harshly reinforce this sense of separation. They speak loudly about who we should be, what we lack, what we must become. Truth, as I have experienced it, is simple, unassuming, and so close that it often goes unnoticed.
Waging war against the ‘ego’ only deepens suffering. The “separate, fearful self” cannot be forced into belonging.
What I propose instead is curious seeing: observing the movements of the “separate self” moment by moment, without condemnation, while remaining open to a radical possibility — that you were never truly separate from what you seek. That what you long for is already here.
People often ask whether there is a method for realizing one’s true nature. A technique. A fastest path.
Over the years, I have come to feel that the decisive factor is not the method itself, nor the absence of teachings pointing toward truth, but the sincerity of the seeker. When the longing is genuine, almost anything may become a doorway: meditation, grief, silence, beauty, heartbreak, illness, even an ordinary walk down the street.
You may find yourself walking on the street and TA-DA, a clear glimpse of your real nature. Satori. Very often, in these cases, the seeking starts after.
I cannot snap my fingers and give you such a glimpse, not can I ignite this fire for truth in you. It happens when it happens. But if you do wake up one day with the question ”Who am I?” buzzing in your mind, it would be my joy to share my insights.
This is one of the intentions behind the open Starlight and Silent Ocean contemplation space I offer online.
It’s important to clarify that I am not a spiritual teacher, nor am I a member of any organisation. While I have deep appreciation for the teachers whose insights have pointed me toward truth – particularly Ramana Maharshi – I remain an independent explorer rather than a representative of any system or school of thought.
History shows many examples of cults and institutions that replaced living inquiry with hierarchical authority and exploited those who trusted them. This is why I choose not to participate in such structures.
As I see it, we are fellow travellers on a path of exploration. Having walked this path in search of truth, I’ve come to know a few of its shortcuts as well as many of its pitfalls. What I can offer is not authority, but a perspective shaped by my direct experience. And in my experience, a life devoted to honest self-inquiry and sober seeing is damn well worth it.
